Spindle
Spindle sculptures have derived from a mixture of two exotic looking plants in a Scottish garden in Kirkcudbright. I initially thought it was one plant but on further investigation it was two a Magnolia and a Spindle tree. I created my own version of its development from closed overlapping fleshy leaves, to dried out crispy leaves with berries attached to eventually an opening out into dangling flower like structures with berries at the end of the petals.
